Waco, Tex. - The Southwest Baptist University football team received 37 votes in the latest AFCA Division II Coaches Poll, the most votes received in program history. The Bearcats were the second school out of the top 25, and one of only two GLVC schools in the rankings.
The Bearcats picked up a 37-20 victory at Quincy last weekend, extending their win streak to 6 games dating back to last season. The Bearcats 4-0 start this year ties the best start in program history when SBU went 4-0 in both 1986 and 1987.
