Bolivar, Mo. - Despite being within one goal for 75 minutes of the SBU Women's Soccer team's match against #25 Northeastern State, the Bearcats fell 3-0 in the non-conference match against the RiverHawks. With the loss SBU falls to 0-5 on the season.
The Bearcats played a strong first half against the RiverHawks, taking the game into half tied 0-0. NSU struck first in the 61st minute of play, and would add another goal in the 77th minute. A penalty kick gave the RiverHawks their final goal of the game in the 85th minute as SBU fell 3-0.
SBU will return to action on Saturday, April 24 when they host Central Oklahoma in their MIAA opener. Play is set to begin at 12:00 p.m. from the SBU Soccer Field in Bolivar.
