Hannibal, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University men's soccer team fell on the road at Hannibal LaGrange on Thursday 5-1. With the loss SBU drops to 0-6 on the season.
Southwest Baptist was the first to strike in the 9th minute of play when
Jesus Lopez gave the Bearcats the early 1-0 lead. Hannibal LaGrange would respond with a goal in the 27th minute to tie the game at 1-1, and SBU trailed 3-1 heading into the half. The Bearcats were unable to score in the second half as they would eventually fall 5-1.
SBU will return to action on Saturday, September 17 when they host Oklahoma Baptist. Play is set to begin at 3:00 p.m. from the SBU Soccer Field in Bolivar.
