Bolivar, Mo. -- The SBU Bearcats prepare for their final full week of non-MIAA action in a three-game week as they host Truman and Oklahoma Baptist, while also traveling to Hannibal-LaGrange.
The Coaches
Nick Pettit is entering his 2nd season on the bench for Southwest Baptist after finishing 0-17 last season.
Duk Cochran begins his 12th season as the head coach at Truman and holds a career coaching record of 101-80-16.
David Erskine is in his 19th season as the head men's soccer coach at Hannibal La-Grange. Erskine holds a men's coaching record of 178-83-19.
Anthony Yousey enters his 4th season as the head coach at Oklahoma Baptist, and holds a career coaching record of 16-37.
Scouting the Opponents
Truman State enters the game 1-1-1 on the season, coming off of a 3-1 loss to Illinois-Springfield. The Bulldogs are led offensively by Derek Merry who has scored two goals, while Zac Suazo holds a GAA of 1.54.
Hannibal-LaGrange enters the game against the Bearcats 0-3-2 on the season, most recently tying Culver-Stockton 0-0. The Trojans have scored two goals all season, one from Hugo Lopez and the other from Diego Spano.
Oklahoma Baptist enters the week 2-2, coming off of a 3-1 victory over Univ. of Science & Arts. The Bison are led offensively by Vicente Castillo who has scored 4 goals with 1 assist on the season. In goal Bronson Wise has started one game with a 1.00 GAA, while Colin Spencer has started 3 games with a 3.33 GAA.
