Bolivar, Mo. - The SBU Bearcats will open up the 2016 season at home on Friday when they host Ouachita Baptist. SBU will then hit the road on Sunday when they travel to Rogers State.
The Coaches
Nick Pettit is entering his 2nd season on the bench for Southwest Baptist after finishing 0-17 last season.
Wilson Jones is entering his 2nd season as the head men's soccer coach at Ouachita Baptist, and holds a career coaching record of 7-10-1.
Derek Larkin begins his 10th season as the head men's soccer coach at Rogers State. Larkin holds a career coaching record of 88-63-16 after posting a 84-43-8 record on the women's side.
Scouting the Opponents
Ouachita Baptist travels to SBU for their first regular season contest after finshing the 2015 season 7-10-1.
Rogers State opens up the season with a pair of home games, opening their season on Thursday, September 1 against Southern Nazarene before hosting the Bearcats on Sunday. Rogers State finished the 2015 season 10-5-3.

Southwest Baptist opens up the 2016 season host Ouachita Baptist. The Bearcats return senior forward
Garrett Gibson who led SBU with 8 goals (4th all-time in a single season) and was named 2nd Team All-Region. The Bearcats also return
Ryan Estus, Jason Hasenhor,
Brad Tippin, and
Dylan Saib who all scored points for the Bearcats last season.
