Bolivar, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University women's tennis team picked up a 5-0 sweep over Central Oklahoma in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday morning in Bolivar. With the win, SBU improves to 23-3 and advances to the round of 32.
The Bearcats kicked things off by sweeping doubles play.

Zorana Jovanovic started off with an 8-1 victory at the no. 3 position, followed by an 8-2 victory from

Lani Tuemmers at the no. 2 position.

Lara Soares completed the sweep with an 8-3 victory at the no. 1 position. In singles play Vickov made quick work of her opponent at the no. 4 position, 6-0, 6-1, before Jovanovic cruised to a 6-1, 6-1 victory at no. 6 singles to pick up the 5-0 team victory.
SBU will now advance to the NCAA Round of 32 and the Central Regional #2 finals on Saturday, May 8. Play is set to begin at 1:00 p.m. from Bolivar, Missouri.
