Bolivar, Mo. - Southwest Baptist University freshman Lara Soares has been named one of the Top 10 Brazilians in College Tennis as released by Universal Tennis earlier this week. Soares' is the only NCAA Division II member of the women's top 10 list.

Soares has had a nearly flawless freshman season so far at Southwest Baptist. Soares is currently 21-0 in dual-match singles play with her matches coming at both the No. 2 and No. 3 positions. She has only dropped three sets in those 21 matches and has won 25 sets by a 6-0 or 6-1 score. Soares has been just as dominant in doubles going 21-2 with Christina Zentai with all 23 of those matches coming at No. 1.
