Maryville, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University men's tennis team fell at the hands of Northwest Missouri in the NCAA Round of 32 on Tuesday 5-4. With the loss SBU finishes the season 13-8.
In a re-match of the MIAA Championship match, Southwest Baptist fell behind early against Northwest Missouri, trailing 2-1 after doubles play. SBU's lone doubles point came at the no. 2 position where

Torben Semrau picked up the 9-7 victory.
In singles play Blodig tied the contest at 2-2 with a 6-4, 6-3 victory at the no. 2 position. Then, after dropping the first set,
Sherif Abohabaga came back to pick up a 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 victory over #42 ranked Boissinot of NWMSU at the no. 1 position to give SBU the 3-2 lead.
Northwest Missouri came back to take no. 4 singles in three sets before
Gyorgy Argoston gave SBU a 4-3 lead with a 4-6, 7-6, 6-4 victory at no. 3 singles. However, Northwest Missouri would respond by taking no. 5 and no. 6 singles in straight sets as Southwest Baptist would fall 5-4.
