St. Charles, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University women's tennis team picked up their third straight MIAA victory on Thursday afternoon with a 5-1 victory at Lindenwood. With the win, SBU improves to 12-3 (4-1 MIAA) on the season.

The Bearcats kicked things off with the doubles team of Christina Zentai/Lara Soares winning at #1 doubles 8-1 followed by an 8-4 victory at #2 doubles by Maria Josie Zehnder/Lani Tuemmers, taking a 2-1 lead into singles play.  In singles, Zentai won in straight sets at #1 singles, followed by Soares winning 1,0 at #2 singles, and Klara Vickov winning 2, 0 at #4 singles giving SBU the 5-1 victory. The other three remaining singles matches finished with a DNF as SBU was up a set at #3 and #5 singles when play stopped.

SBU will return home on Friday, April 8 when they host Lincoln. Play is set to begin at 3:00 p.m. from Bolivar, Missouri.
