Bolivar, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University men's tennis team picked up their third straight victory on Thursday afternoon with a 6-1 win at Lindenwood. After the victory, SBU now stands at 8-5 (2-0 MIAA) on the season.
The Bearcats started things off by taking all three doubles points. From the #1 position (
Sherif Abohabaga/Gyory Agoston) and from the #2 position (
Chris Blodig/
Torben Semrau) the Bearcats received 8-1 and 8-0 victories, while SBU finished the doubles sweep with an 8-4 victory from
Raul Cabalero/
Marcel Castillo. SBU then picked up singles victories from Abohabaga (4, 1), Blodig (2, 3), and Semrau (2, 0) to cruise to the 6-1 victory.
SBU will return to action on Saturday, April 9 from a big regional contest against #26 Ouachita Baptist. Play is set to begin at 11:00 a.m. from Bolivar, Missouri.
