Springfield, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University women's tennis team picked up a 6-3 victory at #33 Drury on Tuesday afternoon to push their win streak to a season high 8. With the win, SBU improves to 17-3 on the season.
The Bearcats opened up the competition by taking two of the three doubles points as SBU won at number one (Zentai/Soares) and number two (Zehnder/Tuemmers). In singles play, Soares took care of the number two position in straight sets, while Zehnder, Vickov, and Jovanovic all picked up singles victories in the third set.
SBU will return to MIAA action on Saturday, April 23 when they travel to Emporia State. Play is set to begin at 10:00 a.m. from Emporia, Kansas.
