Springfield, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University men's tennis team picked up their third straight victory over ranked opponents on Tuesday with a 6-3 victory at #40 Drury. With the win, SBU improves to 11-5 on the season.
The Bearcats opened up by taking two of three doubles matches as they claimed points on number two doubles (Blodig/Semrau) and number three doubles (Cabalero/Diab) to take the 2-1 lead. Abohabaga then avenged a fall loss to DU's Hepp (ranked #18 in the NCAA), winning easily at the number one position 6-2, 6-0 followed up by victories from Argoston at number two, Cabalero at number five, and Castillo at number six as SBU picked up the 6-3 victory.
SBU will return to action on Saturday, April 23 when they travel to Emporia State in an MIAA contest. Play is set to begin at 10:00 a.m. from Emporia, Kansas.
