Maryville, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University baseball team fell on the road at Northwest Missouri on Saturday afternoon 7-4. With the loss SBU drops to 17-20 (12-15 MIAA) on the season.

Northwest Missouri kicked off the scoring in the fourth inning, following three scoreless innings from both teams. Heading into the top of the eighth, Southwest Baptist trailed Northwest Missouri 7-4. In the top of the eighth, Christian Binger led the inning off with a double down the right field line followed by a Chance Wolfe walk to put runners on first and second with no outs. SBU plated two runs on back-to-back errors by NWMSU, cutting the deficit to 7-2. Seth Ell then hit a two-rbi single up the middle, but it wasn't enough as SBU fell 7-4.

The Bearcats will return to action on Sunday, April 18 for the final game of the three-game series at Northwest Missouri. Opening pitch is set for 1:00 p.m. from Maryville, Missouri.
