Bolivar, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University women's tennis team cruised to an 8-1 victory over Northwest Missouri on Saturday. With the win, SBU improves to 16-3 (7-1 MIAA) on the season.
Southwest Baptist jumped out to a 3-0 lead after picking up doubles victories from all three positions.

Lara Soares picked up an 8-3 victory from the number one position, while
Klara Vickov/
Zorana Jovanovic also earned the 8-3 victory from the number three position and
Maria Josie Zehnder/
Lani Tuemmers earned an 8-1 victory from the number two position. The Bearcats then went on to pick up five of the six singles victories en route to an 8-1 team win.
The Bearcats will return to action on Tuesday, April 19 when they travel to #33 Drury. Play is set to begin at 3:00 p.m. from Springfield, Missouri.
