Bolivar, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University men's tennis team took down their third straight ranked opponent on Saturday with a 5-4 victory over six-time defending MIAA champion #16 Northwest Missouri. With the win, SBU improves to 10-5 (3-0 MIAA) on the season.

Torben Semrau picked up a critical 8-2 victory at number two doubles, while
Sherif Abohabaga/
Gyorgy Argoston fell 8-6 in a close match at number one doubles. SBU then went on to pick up singles victories at number one (Abohabaga; 7-6, 6-4), number two (Argoston; 6-2, 6-2), number four (Semrau; 7-6, 6-2), and number five (
Raul Cabalero; 6-1, 6-1) to claim the 5-4 victory.
The Bearcats will return to action on Tuesday, April 19 when they travel to #40 Drury. Play is set to begin at 3:00 p.m. from Springfield, Missouri.
