Bolivar, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University women's tennis team cruised to an 8-1 victory over Nebraska-Kearney on Friday. With the win, SBU improves to 10-3 (2-1 MIAA) on the season.
The Bearcats came out strong by taking all three doubles matches to take an early 3-0 lead. The Bearcats then recieved straight set victories from
Christina Zentai and
Lara Soares in singles to earn the five points necessary to win, but
Klara Vickov,
Lani Tuemmers, and
Beatrix Federer all added singles victories as SBU cruised to an 8-1 win.
SBU will return to action on Saturday, April 2 when they host Fort Hays State. Play is set to begin at 10:00 a.m. from Bolivar.
