Bolivar, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University men's tennis team picked up a big 5-4 upset victory over #21 Nebraska-Kearney on Friday in Bolivar. With the win, SBU now stands at 7-5 (1-0 MIAA) on the season.
The Bearcats took the early 2-1 lead after doubles play, with
Sherif Abohabaga/
Gyorgy Argoston and
Chris Blodig/
Torben Semrau both picked up wins for the Bearcats. SBU then sealed the 5-4 victory with singles wins from Abohabaga, Blodig, and
Raul Cabalero.
SBU will return to action on Saturday, April 2 when they host Graceland. Play is set to begin at 1:30 p.m. from Bolivar.
