Bolivar, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University women's tennis team won in impressive fashion in their MIAA opener against Central Oklahoma, 7-2. With the victory, the Bearcats improve to 9-2 (1-0 MIAA) on the season.
The Bearcats rolled through the doubles competition, claiming each match 8-1. SBU then finished off the Bronchos by taking four of the six singles matches, with victories coming from
Christina Zentai,
Lara Soares,
Klara Vickov, and
Lani Tuemmers, as SBU cruised to the 7-2 victory.
The Bearcats will quickly return to action on Saturday, March 26 when they host #16 Northeastern State. Play is set to begin at 11:00 a.m. from Bolivar, Missouri.
