Bolivar, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University softball team will return to MIAA play this weekend after they travel to William Jewell on Tuesday for a double-header beginning at 2:00 p.m. The Bearcats will then return home to host Central Missouri in an MIAA double-header beginning at 1:00 p.m.
Scouting the BearcatsSouthwest Baptist comes into the week 12-16 (5-5 MIAA) on the season. The Bearcats are led offensively by
Rachel Ray who is hitting a team high .400 on the season, while
Dana Graves is hitting .338 with a team high 19 rbi, 7 doubles, and 3 homeruns. In the circle,
Kacey Ayers boasts a 2.70 ERA to go along with 72 strikeouts in 114.0 innings pitched.
Scouting the CardinalsWilliam Jewell enters the games against Southwest Baptist 9-13 (3-5 GLVC) on the season. The Cardinals are led offensively by Brooke Bernard who is hitting a team high .479 with a team best 21 rbi on the season. Nona Pauline is also hitting over .400 with a .403 average, while Maddie Greenstreet is hitting .340. In the circle Shelby McGraw holds a 3.34 ERA on the season.
Scouting the JenniesCentral Missouri enters the week with a 16-14 (5-3 MIAA) record on the season. The Jennies are led offensively by Lauren Mabe who holds a team best .333 average, their only batter hitting over .300. Allie Dishinger has hit a team high 5 homeruns, while Alex Leonhart has knocked in a team leading 19 rbi. In the circle Jordan Johnson holds a 2.84 ERA, while Emily Robinson has a 3.22 ERA with 50 strikeouts.
