Ada, Okla. - The Southwest Baptist University women's tennis team earned a 6-1 road victory over regional foe East Central on Friday. With the win, the Bearcats improve to 7-2 on the season.

The Bearcats opened play up by taking two of three doubles matches, with Christina Zentai/Lara Soares and Klara Vickov/Lani Tuemmers both collecting points for the Bearcats. SBU used singles victories from Zentai, Soares, Vickov, and Tuemmers to seal the 6-1 victory.

SBU will return to action on Tuesday, March 22 when they host Evangel in SBU's home opener. Play is set to begin at 4:00 p.m. from Bolivar, Missouri.
