SBU Women Set for Rematch at Nebraska-Kearney on Thursday

Bolivar, Mo. - Southwest Baptist closes out a short two-game homestand on Saturday when they host Washburn.

The Coaches and the All-Time Series
SBU head coach Kelsey Keizer in her second season on the Bearcat bench after leading SBU to a 9-18 (4-15 MIAA) record last season. Coach Keizer had spent the past three years as the assistant at Southwest Baptist after playing collegiately for Division I Drake. 

Carrie Hofstetter is in her 1st season as the head coach at Nebraska-Kearney. Hofstetter comes to Nebraska-Kearney after serving as the head coach at Hastings College the past three seasons, holding a coaching record of 68-31.

Southwest Baptist leads the all-time series against Nebraska-Kearney 3-1. The Lopers claimed an 89-75 victory earlier this season in Bolivar.

Scouting the Bearcats
Southwest Baptist is coming off of a thrilling 65-64 victory over Washburn, and are now 12-8 (7-7 MIAA) on the season. The Bearcats are led in scoring by Caylee Richardson who averages 12.1 ppg and 8.1 rpg, while Megan Rosenbohm averages 11.3 ppg off of the bench. Dilonna Johnson averages 10.7 ppg and a team high 3.6 apg, while Mackenzie Skupa is averaging 7.6 ppg and Sarah Magana is averaging 3.6 apg.

Scouting the Lopers
Nebraska-Kearney comes into the game against Southwest Baptist with a 10-10 (6-8 MIAA) record on the season. The Lopers are coming off of an 82-81 overtime loss to Fort Hays State. The Lopers are led in scoring by Laramey Becker who averages 16.6 ppg and a team high 5.7 rpg, while McKenzie Brown averages 10.4 ppg and Alexa Hoberg averages 9.1 ppg and a team high 4.3 apg.
