                Box Score Maryville, Mo. - 
Logan Hovey had a strong end to his 2015-16 season as he scored a game high 26 points, but the SBU men's basketball team fell at #15 Northwest Missouri 87-63. With the loss, SBU finishes the season 10-18 (5-16 MIAA).
Northwest Missouri came out shooting against Southwest Baptist, as SBU found themselves down 14-2 with 15:31 left in the first half. NWMSU pushed their lead to 20 (26-6) with 12:17 left in the half, and again led by 20 with 8:23 remaining in the half. SBU cut the deficit to 15 off of a three from 
Kai Woodfall and a layup from 
Logan Hovey, but NWMSU continued to build their lead as SBU went into the break trailing 52-26.
In the second half Northwest pushed their lead to 31 (61-30) with 15:46 remaining, and again to 31 with 14:59 to go. SBU went on a 6-0 run with buckets from Hovey and 
Kalehl Brown, and continued to hold steady with Northwest Missouri. However, the Bearcats would eventually fall 87-63.
Logan Hovey recorded a game high 26 points to go along with 6 rebounds while 
Kai Woodfall and 
Cartier Dean each added 9 points. As a team SBU shot 52.2% from the field, 36.8% from beyond the arc, and 61.5% from the free throw line.
