SBU Men Travel to #15 Northwest Missouri for Final Game of the Season

Bolivar, Mo. - Southwest Baptist closes out the regular season on Saturday when they travel to #15 Northwest Missouri.

The Coaches and the All-Time Series
SBU head coach Clark Sheehy begins his second season on the SBU bench after coming off of a 11-18 (6-13 MIAA) record last season. Coach Sheehy holds a career coaching record of 193-119 across ten seasons while coaching six different All-Americans and over 20 athletes that have moved on to play professional basketball.

Ben McCollum begins his 7th season as the head coach at Northwest Missouri. McCollum holds a career coaching record of 114-64, claiming 3 MIAA regular season championships.

Northwest Missouri leads the all-time series 40-19 against Southwest Baptist. NWMSU claimed a 73-50 victory over SBU earlier this season in Bolivar.

Scouting Southwest Baptist
The Bearcats are coming off of a heartbreaking 96-91 overtime loss at Lincoln, and are now 10-17 (5-16 MIAA) on the season. The Bearcats are led in scoring and rebounding by Logan Hovey who averages 14.8 ppg and 7.5 rpg, while Brian Patterson averages 11.9 ppg and 5.0 rpg. Kai Woodfall is averaging 9.1 ppg, while Cartier Dean averages 8.9 ppg and Kalehl Brown 7.7 ppg.

Scouting Northwest Missouri
Northwest Missouri is coming off of a 77-74 victory over Emporia State and are now 21-5 (18-3 MIAA) on the season.. Northwest Missouri is led in scoring and assists by Justin Pitts who averages 20.8 ppg and 4.8 apg. Conner Crooker (12.8 ppg), Chris-Ebou Ndow (10.4 ppg), and Zach Schneider (10.0 ppg) all average double-figures.
