SBU Men's Basketball Travels to Lincoln on Wednesday

Bolivar, Mo. - Southwest Baptist closes out the home portion of their schedule when they host Pittsburg State on Saturday.

The Coaches and the All-Time Series
SBU head coach Clark Sheehy begins his second season on the SBU bench after coming off of a 11-18 (6-13 MIAA) record last season. Coach Sheehy holds a career coaching record of 193-119 across ten seasons while coaching six different All-Americans and over 20 athletes that have moved on to play professional basketball.

John Moseley enters his 2nd season as the head coach at Lincoln. Moseley, who also serves as Lincoln's interim A.D., holds a coaching record of 4-24 while at Lincoln.

Southwest Baptist leads the all-time series against Lincoln 29-16. The Blue Tigers claimed a 75-49 victory in Bolivar earlier this season.

Scouting the Bearcats
The Bearcats are coming off of an 85-72 loss to Pittsburg State, and are now 10-16 (5-15 MIAA) on the season. The Bearcats are led in scoring and rebounding by Logan Hovey who averages 15.0 ppg and 7.5 rpg, while Brian Patterson averages 12.0 ppg and 5.1 rpg. Cartier Dean averages 8.7 ppg, while Kai Woodfall averages 8.5 ppg and Kalehl Brown 7.6 ppg.

Scouting the Blue Tigers
Lincoln comes into the game against Southwest Baptist with a 13-13 (9-11 MIAA) record on the season. The Blue Tigers are coming off of a 81-67 loss at Nebraska-Kearney and have dropped eight of their last ten. LU is led in scoring by Anthony Virdure who is avergaing 21.8 ppg while Jaylon Smith averages 17.8 ppg. O'Shai Clark averages 9.1 ppg to go along with a team high 4.4 rpg.
