Arkadelphia, Ark. - The Southwest Baptist University women's tennis team picked up a pair of victories to open up the 2016 season on Friday. SBU took down Tarleton State 5-4 before defeating Harding 5-4 later in the day. The Bearcats now stand at 2-0 on the season.

The Bearcats saw victories from the #1 doubles position, and the doubles team of Christina Zentai/Maria Josie Zehnder, while singles victories came from Zentai, Zehnder, Klara Vickov, and Lani Tuemmers.

SBU will return to action on Saturday, February 13 when they take on Ouachita Baptist from Arkadelphia, Arkansas.
