SBU Women Return Home to Host Central Missouri on Saturday

Bolivar, Mo. - Southwest Baptist returns home to host Central Missouri on Saturday afternoon.

The Coaches and the All-Time Series
SBU head coach Kelsey Keizer in her second season on the Bearcat bench after leading SBU to a 9-18 (4-15 MIAA) record last season. Coach Keizer had spent the past three years as the assistant at Southwest Baptist after playing collegiately for Division I Drake.

Dave Slifer is in his 12th season as the head coach at Central Missouri. Slifer has compiled a 216-11 record while at UCM, and a 600-210 career coaching record.

Central Missouri leads the all-time series against Southwest Baptist 51-12. The Jennies claimed a 77-74 victory in Warrensburg earlier this season.

Scouting the Bearcats
Southwest Baptist is coming off of an 82-72 road loss to #21 Emporia State, and are now 12-11 (7-10 MIAA) on the season. The Bearcats are led in scoring by Caylee Richardson who averages 12.6 ppg and 8.1 rpg, while Megan Rosenbohm averages 11.3 ppg off of the bench. Dilonna Johnson averages 10.7 ppg and a team high 3.8 apg, while Mackenzie Skupa is averaging 7.1 ppg and Sarah Magana is averaging 3.6 apg.

Scouting the Jennies
Central Missouri enters the contest against Southwest Baptist 9-13 (8-9 MIAA) on the season. The Jennies are coming off of an 86-75 road victory over Washburn after dropping their two previous games. UCM is led in scoring by Shelby Winkelmann who averages 19.3 ppg, while Ashley Jones averages 12.1 ppg and a team high 8.7 rpg.
