Bolivar, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University volleyball team fell in a tough contest against #9 Central Oklahoma on Saturday afternoon. With the loss SBU falls to 3-27 (0-16 MIAA) on the season.
The Bearcats hung with the Bronchos in the opening set, but ended up falling 25-19. SBU would then drop the second set 25-12 and the third set 25-16.
Dana Neal had a strong performance for the Bearcats, picking up a double-double in loss. Neal had a team high 10 kills to go along with 11 digs.
Kalyn Sotomayor also chipped in 9 kills, while
Bailey Baumann had 17 digs and
Taryn Marton added 11 digs.
Serena Mar collected 25 assists in the loss.
SBU will return to action on Friday, November 11 when they host #3 Nebraska-Kearney. Play is set to begin at 11:00 a.m. from the Meyer Sports Center in Bolivar.
