Bolivar, Mo. – The Southwest Baptist University volleyball team fell 3-0 to Pittsburg State on Friday evening. With the loss SBU drops to 3-26 (0-15 MIAA) on the season.
The Bearcats fell in the first set 25-13, the second 25-17, and the third and final set 25-23. Once again leading the Bearcat offense was
Kalyn Sotomayor with a team high 10.5 points (9 kills, 2 total blocks) while
Dana Neal had 10.0 points (8 kills, 2 total blocks). Neal also chipped in 10 digs, while
Brea Freeman had a team high 11 digs and
Bailey Baumann had 10.
Serena Mar had a team high 26 assists in the loss.
SBU will be back in action on Saturday, November 5 when they host #9 Central Oklahoma. Play is set to begin at 2:00 p.m. from the Meyer Sports Center in Bolivar.
