SBU Men Return Home to Host Central Baptist College on Tuesday

Bolivar, Mo. - Southwest Baptist will continue their short two-game road trip when they travel to Maryville on Friday.

The Coaches and the All-Time Series
SBU head coach Clark Sheehy begins his third season on the SBU bench after compiling a 21-36 (11-30 MIAA) record while at SBU. Coach Sheehy holds a career coaching record of 203-137 across eleven seasons while coaching six different All-Americans and over 20 athletes that have moved on to play professional basketball.

Wes Sullivan begins his 4th season as the head coach at Central Baptist College. Sullivan holds a 30-55 coaching record while at CBC.

Southwest Baptist leads the all-time series against Central Baptist College 1-0. The Bearcats claimed an 86-85 victory last season over the Mustangs in Bolivar.

Scouting the Bearcats
The Bearcats come into the game against Central Baptist 2-2 on the season after coming off of a 61-55 victory at Maryville last week. SBU is led in scoring by Logan Hovey and Brian Patterson who each average 10.5 ppg. SBU presents a balanced scoring attack with seven different players averaging over 6.0 ppg this season. On the boards Louis Baltazar averages a team high 8.8 rpg, while Patterson also averages 6.5 rpg.

Scouting the Mustangs
Central Baptist comes into the game against Southwest Baptist 4-2 on the season. CBC is coming off of a 97-69 victory over William Woods. The Mustangs average over 87 points per game as a team, with four different players averaging double-figures. Fred Albright leads the way averaging 15.5 ppg, while Marcelious Green (14.8 ppg) and Jayln McBride (13.7 ppg), both are in double figures. Center Mike Evans nearly averages a double-double at 11.3 ppg and 9.2 rpg.
