The Coaches and the All-Time Series
SBU head coach
Kelsey Keizer in her third season on the Bearcat bench after leading SBU to their first winning season in 9 years (16-13, 11-11 MIAA) last season. The 11 MIAA wins also marks the second most conference wins in program history. Coach Keizer holds a career coaching record of 27-31, including a 15-26 mark in the MIAA.
Iris Dixon begins her sixth season as the head coach at Missouri Baptist.
Southwest Baptist leads the all-time series against Missouri Baptist 8-0. The Bearcats claimed an 84-47 victory over the Spartans last season in Bolivar.
Scouting the Bearcats
The Bearcats enter the game against Missouri Baptist 3-1 on the season, and are coming off of a 79-34 victory over Central Christian College. SBU is led in scoring by
Megan Rosenbohm who is averaging 17.3 ppg while
Mackenzie Skupa and
Caylee Richardson both average 10.5 ppg. Richardson is also the leading rebounder for the Bearcats at 6.8 rpg, while Skupa pulls down 5.3 rpg and Rosenbohm 4.0 rpg. Rosenbohm also leads the team in assists at 2.5 apg.
Scouting the Spartans
Missouri Baptist enters the contest against Southwest Baptist 2-2 on the season after falling to Missouri S&T 70-47 their last time out. The Spartans are led in scoring by Briya Wilbron who averages 10.5 ppg and is the only MBU player averaging double-figures. Amanda Scott is the leading rebounder for the Spartans, averaging 5.8 rpg, while Riley Reddin dishes out a team high 4.3 apg.
