SBU Men's Soccer to Close out 2016 Season Against Northeastern State

Bolivar, Mo. -- The SBU Bearcats will close out their 2016 season with a pair of games against Notheastern State, the first on Wednesday in Joplin and the second a road contest in Tahlequah on Saturday.

The Coaches
Nick Pettit is entering his 2nd season on the bench for Southwest Baptist after finishing 0-17 last season.

Rob Czlonka begins his 6th season as the head coach at Northeastern State. Czlonka holds a career coaching record of 60-23-12.

Scouting the RiverHawks
Northeastern State enters the week 5-9-1 (1-5 MIAA) and are coming off of a 2-0 loss at #20 Fort Hays State. The RiverHawks are led in scoring by Trevor Reed who has scored a team high 6 goals on the season, while Joseph Garcia has collected 5 assists to go along with 2 goals. In goal Jackson Biles has a 1.70 GAA with 36 saves while Ryan Davis has a 1.83 GAA with 33 saves.

Scouting the Bearcats
Southwest Baptist enters the week 0-14-2 on the season, and are coming off of a 4-1 loss at #20 Fort Hays State. The Bearcats are led offensively by Gabriel Gaviolli who have each scored three goals on the season, while Jesus Lopez has a team high 3 assists. In goal Matt Garza has a 2.59 GAA with 35 saves, while Lajos Zadravecz has a 2.90 GAA with 40 saves.
