SBU Women's Basketball Returns Home to Host Central Christian

Bolivar, Mo. - Southwest Baptist will return home to open up a six-game homestand beginning on Friday against Central Christian College.

The Coaches & the All-Time Series
SBU head coach Kelsey Keizer in her third season on the Bearcat bench after leading SBU to their first winning season in 9 years (16-13, 11-11 MIAA) last season. The 11 MIAA wins also marks the second most conference wins in program history. Coach Keizer holds a career coaching record of 27-31, including a 15-26 mark in the MIAA.

Chris Honeck begins his fourth season as the head coach at Central Christian College. Honeck holds a career coaching record of 26-66.

Friday's game marks the first meeting between Southwest Baptist and Central Christian College

Scouting the Bearcats
The Bearcats come into the game against Central Christian 2-1 after falling to Drury 75-66 earlier in the week. SBU is led in scoring by Megan Rosenbohm who is averaging 21.0 ppg while Mackenzie Skupa averages 12.7 ppg, and Caylee Richardson average 11.7 ppg. Richardson is also the leading rebounder for the Bearcats at 7.7 rpg, while Skupa pulls down 5.3 rpg and Rosenbohm 4.7 rpg. Rosenbohm also leads the team in assists at 3.0 apg.

Scouting the Tigers
Central Christian comes into the game against Southwest Baptist 3-5 on the season and are coming off of a 77-73 victory over Manhattan Christian. The Tigers are led in scoring by Piper Kalthoff who averages 16.6 ppg, while Abbie Banks averages 13.9 ppg. Kelsey Grimaldo leads CCC in assists with 3.5 apg, while Rebekah Glessner pulls down a team high 6.6 rpg.
