Bolivar, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University men's soccer team fell in a tight contest to Harding on Thursday afternoon 2-0. With the loss SBU drops to 0-11-1 on the season.
The Bearcats came out firing early on, nearly netting a goal within the first ten minutes of the contest but an offsides penalty negated the goal. The Bearcats saw another great opportunity to score in the first period, but a shot from Isaac McCay went off the bar in the 27th minute as the two teams went into the break tied 0-0. Harding broke the scoreless game in the 63rd minute, and added another goal in the 73rd minute, as SBU would eventually fall 2-0.
SBU will return to action on Saturday, October 8 when they host Southern Nazarene. Kickoff is set for 2:00 p.m. from the SBU Soccer Field in Bolivar.
