Tahlequah, Okla. - The Southwest Baptist University women's soccer team closed out the 2016 season with a 3-1 loss at Northeastern State on Sunday afternoon.
The RiverHawks took an early 1-0 lead in the 12th minute of play as the Bearcats went into the half trailing 1-0. NSU added goals in the 59th and 63rd minutes before Southwest Baptist came back to net a goal in the 90th minute of play.
Elin Hammar connected on a penalty kick to close out her career as a Bearcat, but the Bearcats would end up falling 3-1.
SBU finished the 2016 season 0-17 (0-11 MIAA).
