Box Score Joplin, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University women's soccer team fell in a tough contest at Missouri Southern on Friday evening 1-0. With the loss SBU drops to 0-16 (0-10 MIAA) on the season.
The Bearcats and Lions were in a tough contest, as Missouri Southern broke the scoreless tie in the 14th minute on a penalty kick to take a 1-0 lead. Southwest Baptist outshot Missouri Southern 10-9, but the Bearcats were unable to get a shot in the back of the net as SBU fell 1-0. In goal
Makayla Hussong picked up four saves in the loss.
SBU will return to action on Sunday, October 30 when they travel to Northeastern State. Play is set to begin at 1:00 p.m. from Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
