Hays, Kan. - The Southwest Baptist University men's soccer team fell on the road at Fort Hays State on Friday 4-1. With the loss SBU drops to 0-14-2 (0-6 MIAA) on the season.
The Bearcats and Tigers were tied through the first 33 minutes of action, before FHSU took a 1-0 lead in the 34th minute. Heading into the half the Bearcats trailed 1-0, and FHSU would add another goal in the 46th minute before Southwest Baptist responded.
Gabriel Gaviolli headed in his team leading third goal of the season in the 63rd minute, cutting the Tigers lead in half, but the Bearcats weren't able to get any closer as they would eventually fall 4-1.
SBU will be back in action on Wednesday, November 2 when they travel to Joplin, Missouri for a neutral site match against Northeastern State. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. from Joplin High School.
