SBU Women's Soccer Closes out 2016 Season at Missouri Southern & Northeastern State

Bolivar, Mo. -- SBU will close out the 2016 season when they travel to Missouri Southern and Northeastern State over the weekend.

The Coaches
Megan Link will begin her second season as the head coach at Southwest Baptist and holds a career coaching record of 9-9 (6-4 MIAA).

Chris McNaughton is in his first season as the head coach at Missouri Southern after spending three seasons as an assistant at ULM.

Chase Wooten is in his seventh season as the head coach at Northeastern State. Wooten holds a career coaching record of 68-35- 11.

Scouting the Opponents
Missouri Southern enters the weekend 3-10-2 (0-8-1 MIAA) on the season and are coming off of a 4-1 loss to Lindenwood. The Tigers are led in scoring by Tayler LePage and Bailey North who each have 2 goals a piece. In goal Luz Galindo holds a 1.38 GAA with 63 saves.

Northeastern State enters the weekend 12-3-1 (5-3-1 MIAA) after coming off of a 1-1 tie against Nebraksa-Kearney. The RiverHawks are led in scoring by Julia Mathis who has a team leading 11 goals on the season, while Anastasia Robinson has 6 assists. In goal Jordan Woodruff holds a 0.55 GAA with 69 saves.

Scouting Southwest Baptist
Southwest Baptist comes into the weekend 0-15 (0-9 MIAA) on the season after falling to #4 Central Missouri 6-0 their last time out. Elin Hammar leads SBU with 2 goals and 2 assists, while in goal Makayla Hussong has a 2.64 GAA with 48 saves on the season.
