Maryville, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University volleyball team played well at #17 Northwest Missouri on Friday evening, but fell 3-0. With the loss SBU drops to 3-21 (0-10 MIAA) on the season.
SBU hit over .290 in the first two sets, however they fell 25-16 and 25-22, and then dropped the third and final set 25-14.
Kalyn Sotomayor led the Bearcats with a strong game, collecting 10.5 points (9 kills, 3 blocks) while hitting an impressive .533 in the game.
Serena Mar collected 24 assists, while
Bailey Baumann had 9 digs and
Dana Neal collected 8 digs in the loss.
The Bearcats will return to action on Saturday, October 22 when they travel to Missouri Western. Play is set to begin at 3:00 p.m. from St. Joseph, Missouri.
