Bolivar, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University men's soccer team fell in a tough contest against Lindenwood 5-0 on Thursday evening. With the loss SBU drops to 0-12-2 (0-4 MIAA) on the season.
In a tough, physical match (which featured 9 cards given out), the Lions struck first in the 7th minute of play, adding goals in the 38th and 45th minute as SBU went into the break trailing 3-0. The Bearcats were unable to get on the scoreboard as SBU eventually fell 5-0. In goal
Matt Garza collected 9 saves in the loss.
SBU will return to action on Saturday, October 22 when they host Upper Iowa on senior day. Play is set to begin at 11:00 a.m. from Plaster Stadium in Bolivar.
