Bolivar, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University women's soccer team took on the Missouri Western Griffons on Saturday, falling 1-0 in a tight contest.

With a quick goal early in the first half Missouri Western would go up 1-0 on the Bearcats. The Bearcats defense was able to put a stop to any extras scores from the Griffons, but unfortunately were unable to put up any of their own and fell to Missouri Western 1-0. In goal Makayla Hussong picked up 7 saves in the loss.

With this loss SBU drops to 0-8 (0-3 MIAA) on the season. The Bearcats will be back in action on Tuesday, October 4th as they take on Missouri Southern in Bolivar at 4pm.
