SBU Women's Basketball to Host Washburn on Saturday

Bolivar, Mo. - Southwest Baptist closes out a short two-game homestand on Saturday when they host Washburn.

The Coaches and the All-Time Series
SBU head coach Kelsey Keizer in her second season on the Bearcat bench after leading SBU to a 9-18 (4-15 MIAA) record last season. Coach Keizer had spent the past three years as the assistant at Southwest Baptist after playing collegiately for Division I Drake.

Ron McHenry is in his 16th season as the head coach at Washburn. McHenry holds a career coaching record of 374-94, including 215-65 in MIAA play.

Washburn leads the all-time series 37-12 against Southwest Baptist. The Ichabods claimed a 68-55 victory earlier this season in Topeka.

Scouting the Bearcats
Southwest Baptist is coming off of a tough 78-61 loss to #11 Emporia State, and are now 11-8 (6-7 MIAA) on the season. The Bearcats are led in scoring by Caylee Richardson who averages 12.3 ppg and 7.9 rpg, while Megan Rosenbohm averages 11.4 ppg off of the bench. Dilonna Johnson averages 10.6 ppg and a team high 3.7 apg, while Mackenzie Skupa is averaging 7.6 ppg and Sarah Magana is averaging 3.6 apg.

Scouting the Ichabods
Washburn comes into the contest against Southwest Baptist with a 12-7 (8-5 MIAA) record on the season. WU is coming off of a 59-54 road victory over Central Missouri. The Ichabods are led in scoring by Alyxis Bowens who averages 11.2 ppg, while Erika Lane averages 9.6 ppg and a team high 3.1 apg. Jayna Smith pulls down a team high 9.7 rpg.
