Bolivar, Mo. - Southwest Baptist will look for their fourth straight win on Saturday when they travel to Northeastern State to take on the RiverHawks.
The Coaches and the All-Time SeriesSBU head coach
Kelsey Keizer in her second season on the Bearcat bench after leading SBU to a 9-18 (4-15 MIAA) record last season. Coach Keizer had spent the past three years as the assistant at Southwest Baptist after playing collegiately for Division I Drake.
Randy Gipson is in his 17th season as the head coach at Northeastern State. Gipson holds a career coaching record of 591-240, including 301-163 while at NSU.
Northeastern State leads the all-time series against Southwest Baptist 8-7. NSU claimed a 60-45 victory over SBU last season in Bolivar.
Scouting the BearcatsSouthwest Baptist is coming off of an impressive 77-62 road victory over Central Oklahoma, and are now 10-7 (5-6 MIAA) on the season. The Bearcats are led in scoring by
Caylee Richardson who averages 12.5 ppg and 8.1 rpg, while
Megan Rosenbohm averages 11.3 ppg off of the bench.
Dilonna Johnson averages 11.2 ppg and a team high 4.1 apg, while
Mackenzie Skupa is averaging 7.8 ppg and
Sarah Magana is averaging 3.9 apg.
Scouting the RiverHawksNortheastern State enters the contest against Southwest Baptist 5-13 (2-10 MIAA) on the season. The RiverHawks are coming off of a 74-56 loss to Central Missouri, and have dropped five straight. NSU is led in scoring and rebounding by Mary Jane Buschmann who averages 12.7 ppg and 5.4 rpg. Kate Bellamy is just shy of double-figures at 9.8 ppg, while Alexis Hill dishes out a team high 2.8 apg.
