Bolivar, Mo. - Southwest Baptist is set to host Lindenwood on Saturday to finish off their quick two-game homestand.
The CoachesSBU head coach
Kelsey Keizer in her second season on the Bearcat bench after leading SBU to a 9-18 (4-15 MIAA) record last season. Coach Keizer had spent the past three years as the assistant at Southwest Baptist after playing collegiately for Division I Drake.
Tony Francis is in his 6th season as the head coach at Lindenwood. Francis holds a career coaching record of 67-72 while at Lindenwood.
Southwest Baptist leads the all-time series against Lindenwood 5-3. The Lady Lions won the last meeting between the two squads, 89-76 in St. Charles, but SBU claimed a 70-60 victory the last time these teams met in Bolivar.
Scouting the BearcatsSouthwest Baptist is coming off of a tough 67-44 victory over Lincoln, and are now 8-7 (3-6 MIAA) on the season. The Bearcats are led in scoring and rebounding by
Caylee Richardson who is averaging just short of a double-double at 11.7 ppg and 8.1 rpg, while
Megan Rosenbohm also averages 11.3 ppg.
Dilonna Johnson averages 10.9 ppg and a team high 3.9 apg, while
Mackenzie Skupa is averaging 8.0 ppg and 3.5 rpg.
Scouting the Lady LionsLindenwood enters the contest against Southwest Baptist 7-9 (3-7 MIAA) on the season. The Lady Lions are coming off of a 82-64 loss to Central Missouri, and have dropped the last 5 games. Lindenwood is led in scoring by Kassidy Gengenbacher who is averaging 19.3 ppg, while Jenny Rocha is also in double-figures at 11.4 ppg. Charisse Williams averages 9.9 ppg, and Vanessa Zailo is pulling down a team high 9.1 rpg.
