Box Score Claremore, Okla. - The Southwest Baptist University men's soccer team fell on the road at Rogers State on Tuesday afternoon 6-1. With the loss, SBU now drops to 0-3 on the season.
The Bearcats fell behind early in the first half, and trailed 3-0 heading into the break. In the second half, Rogers State extended their lead to 4-0 in the 55th minute before SBU was able to get on the scoreboard in the 65th minute.
Garrett Gibson knocked in his first goal of the season when he took a deflected ball and placed it back in the net to pull SBU within three at 4-1. However, Rogers State added two more goals as the Bearcats fell 6-1.
SBU will return home on Thursday, September 10th when they host Williams Baptist. Kickoff is set for 3:00 p.m. from the SBU Soccer Field in Bolivar.
