Box Score Sioux Falls, S.D. - The Southwest Baptist University women's soccer team fell to Northern State on Sunday morning 2-1. With the loss, the Bearcats drop to 0-2 on the season.
Northern State quickly got on the scoreboard, scoring the game's first goal in the first minute of play. Southwest Baptist and Northern State would remain scoreless over the rest of the half as SBU went into the break trailing 1-0. In the second half, the Bearcats tied the contest in the 72nd minute when
Whitney Snow placed the ball over the goalie head, courtesy of
Karla Jamison and Taylor Rohde, as SBU drew even at 1-1. However, Northern State would respond in the 78th minute with the eventual game winning goal as SBU fell 2-1.
The Bearcats will return to action on Wednesday, September 9 when they host Quincy. Play is set to begin at 4:00 p.m. from the SBU Soccer Field in Bolivar.
