Kearney, Neb. - The Southwest Baptist University women's soccer team fell on the road to Nebraska-Kearney on Sunday afternoon 1-0. With the loss, the Bearcats drop to 4-4 (1-1 MIAA) on the season.

The match between the Bearcats and Lopers was a defensive struggle, with the two teams combining for only 15 total shots on the day. The Lopers got on the scoreboard in the 45th minute of play, scoring only 30 seconds before halftime. Neither team got on the scoreboard in the second half, as the Bearcats would fall 1-0 despite outshooting the Lopers 10-5 (6-2 in shots on goal).

SBU will return to action on Friday, October 2 when they travel to Northwest Missouri. Play is set to begin at 3:00 p.m. from Maryville, Missouri.
