St. Joseph, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University volleyball team fell on the road at Missouri Western on Saturday evening 3-0. With the loss, the Bearcats drop to 2-10 (0-2 MIAA) on the season.

The Bearcats fell in a tight first set 25-21 before dropping the next two sets 25-11 and 25-8. SBU was led offensively by Taryn Marton with 6 kills, while Serena Mar picked up 9 digs and Hannah Blount 8 digs. Anna Stuehm continues to handle the setting duties for the Bearcats, with a team high 20 assists in the loss.

SBU will open up the home portion of their schedule on Friday, October 2 when they host #7 Washburn. Play is set to begin at 7:00 p.m. from Bolivar, Missouri.
