Box Score Hays, Kan. - The Southwest Baptist University women's soccer team won their fourth straight contest on Friday evening, defeating Fort Hays State 2-1. With the victory, SBU improves to 4-3 (1-0 MIAA) on the season.

Karla Jamison beat the keeper and placed the ball in the bottom right corner of the net to give SBU a 1-0 lead. Southwest Baptist added another goal in the 25th minute when Fort Hays headed an SBU corner kick into their own net, giving SBU an own goal, and extending the Bearcat lead to 2-0. FHSU would respond in the 40th minute with a goal of their own, as SBU took a 2-1 lead into halftime.

The Bearcats will return to action on Sunday, September 27 when they travel to Nebraska-Kearney. Play is set to begin at 1:00 p.m. from Kearney, Nebraska.
