SBU Men's Soccer Returns Home for a Pair of Games to Close out the Week

Bolivar, Mo. -- The SBU Bearcats will return home for two home games to close out the week after starting the season off 0-3.

The Coaches
Nick Pettit takes over as the new head coach of the men's soccer program after spending the previous two years as an assistant coach at Oklahoma Baptist and the head boy's soccer coach at Midwest City High School.

Shane Stolz enters his 5th season as the head coach at Williams Baptist. Stolz holds a career coaching record of 22-38-1.

David Erskine enters his 18th season as the head coach at Hannibal-Lagrange College. Erskine holds a career men's coaching record of 178-83-19, including 14 straight post season appearances.

Scouting the Bearcats
Southwest Baptist is coming off of a 6-1 loss at Rogers State and are now 0-3 on the season. The Bearcats have seen goals from three different athletes: Garrett Gibson, Hunter McRobers, and Jason Hasenohr.

Scouting the Opponents
Williams Baptist enters the contest against Southwest Baptist with a 2-0 record on the season. Williams Baptist has a pair of athletes with three goals a piece in Matheus Allonso and Thiago Sooma.

Hannibal LaGrange enters the contest against Southwest Baptist with an 0-2-1 record on the season. Hannibal LaGrange is led in scoring by Manuel Saez who has two goals through the three games this season.
