Springfield, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University women's tennis team had no problems in the first round of the MIAA Women's Tennis Championship on Friday morning, taking down Missouri Western 5-1. With the victory, Southwest Baptist improves to 20-2 on the season.
The Bearcats opened up play by taking two of the three doubles matches with victories coming from

Christina Zentai and
Maria Josie Zehnder/
Lani Tuemmers. SBU then quickly swept the top three singles positions, with Varga, Zentai, and Zehnder all claiming victories, as SBU cruised to a 5-1 team victory.
SBU will return to action on Saturday, April 25 when they play 3rd seeded Northwest Missouri at 9:00 a.m. from the Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield, Missouri.
